People may remember that long-time member Mary Mangold was injured last year in Steamboat. Harriet Warner writes as follows: “I received the following email from Mary Mangold. As many of you know she was injured in Steamboat and had to have emergency surgery there. We're pleased to see that she is recovering. She wants to thank you for your good wishes!”

  Hi Harriet & Jerry!

  I think I am now in the 98% recovery category. It's been a very long
  up-hill climb!!!! (I like "down-hill" much more) I want to thank you
  and our club members again for making a very difficult situation a lot
  easier by "being there for me" when I really needed you . I was
  pleasantly surprised with the hospital visits, numerous get-well cards
  and phone calls I received and am still receiving. The support was
  overwhelming and still is!

  Will you please print this thank-you in the club newsletter. If I
  don't ski this coming season, I still hope to see you at the meetings
  & the Octoberfest of course.
